Gauntlet Match Set for WWE RAW to Determine GUNTHER’s SummerSlam Challenger – During Evolution PLE, WWE has officially announced a high-stakes Gauntlet Match for the July 14 episode of Monday Night RAW, streaming live from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The winner of this multi-man showdown will earn the right to challenge World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at SummerSlam 2025.
The participants for this Gauntlet Match are:
- CM Punk
- Jey Uso
- LA Knight
- Penta
- Bron Breakker
Each superstar brings unique momentum and high stakes to the match. CM Punk, who recently had a physical altercation with GUNTHER on RAW, may finally get his chance at revenge. Jey Uso has been one of the most resilient performers of 2025, while LA Knight remains a fan favorite looking for his first world title opportunity. Penta brings international flair and unpredictability, and Bron Breakker is a powerhouse with unfinished business after losing the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41.
This will be the first RAW episode following Saturday Night’s Main Event, where GUNTHER successfully retained his World Heavyweight Championship in a hard-fought battle against Goldberg. The match, which took place in Goldberg’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, marked the end of Goldberg’s career, as he passed out in GUNTHER’s sleeper hold.
With SummerSlam set to take place on Saturday, August 3, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the winner of Monday’s Gauntlet Match will have less than three weeks to prepare for one of the biggest matches of their career. As of now, this Gauntlet is the only confirmed bout for the July 14 edition of RAW, but more segments and matches are expected to be added in the days ahead.
