Officials Pleased with WWE Evolution, Trish and Nikki Bella Updates, Producers Revealed – Multiple people within WWE are said to be very pleased with how WWE Evolution 2025 turned out, with internal discussions already leaning toward making the event a recurring fixture. While no official timetable has been established for a potential third installment, several sources within the company believe it’s only a matter of time before Evolution returns again.

Backstage morale was high throughout the night, especially following Naomi’s surprise Money in the Bank cash-in to become the new WWE Women’s World Champion. Numerous WWE talent and staff were spotted applauding Naomi as she made her way through the curtain after her emotional win in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

Seth Rollins was also seen backstage at Evolution. He was reportedly wearing a knee brace and using crutches, further supporting reports that his injury from Saturday Night’s Main Event is legitimate. While WWE has not issued a formal update, the backstage atmosphere suggested concern for Rollins’ condition.

Former NXT standout Kiana James was also present backstage at the event, fueling speculation about her possible return to television or involvement with one of WWE’s main brands.

In terms of future appearances, Trish Stratus — who competed in her first singles title match since 2006 — is reportedly expected to wrestle again in WWE before the end of 2025. Additionally, sources say there is now “openness” to bringing back Nikki Bella after her previously mapped-out creative direction was altered.

WWE also had a strong team of producers helping shape the Evolution 2 card. Notable producer assignments included:

  • Petey Williams producing Tiffany Stratton vs. Trish Stratus for the WWE Women’s Championship.
  • Johnnie Moss producing the NXT Women’s Championship bout between Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace.
  • Kenny Dykstra producing the No Holds Barred match between Naomi and Jade Cargill.

WWE Evolution 2 featured a stacked card, including marquee title defenses, high-profile debuts, and surprise moments. With positive backstage reception and strong fan engagement, the success of the all-women’s premium live event could very well pave the way for more editions in the future.
