Gia Miller Reacts After Tessa Blanchard’s Slammiversary Attack

Gia Miller Reacts After Tessa Blanchard’s Slammiversary Attack – Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA took a violent turn at Slammiversary on Sunday night, leading to an indefinite suspension from the company.

Blanchard faced former WWE star Indi Hartwell in a one-on-one match during the event. Hartwell secured the win with her signature finisher, the Hurts Donut. Following the bout, Gia Miller interviewed Hartwell at ringside, asking what was next for her TNA run. Before Hartwell could respond, Blanchard returned and blindsided her with a post-match assault.

The situation escalated when Miller attempted to intervene. In a shocking moment, Blanchard turned her attention to the interviewer, slapping her across the face and violently driving her head into the steel steps with a punch to the back of the head. Security rushed in to break things up, and Director of Authority Santino Marella later announced Blanchard’s indefinite suspension from TNA programming as a consequence of her actions.

Following the segment, Gia Miller issued a public statement on Twitter/X, selling the severity of the angle and sharing her emotional reaction:

“I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone who has reached out. I’m sorry I haven’t gotten back to you all individually so I’m making this post to let everyone know that I am okay,” Miller wrote. “I am not ready to talk about what happened yet. TNA has allowed me to take some time to process and decide how I would like to handle this situation moving forward. I ask that you respect my privacy during this time. Be kind to each other. Gia.”

While the suspension is believed to be part of an ongoing storyline, it’s currently unclear if there are any real-life reasons behind Blanchard’s absence moving forward. It’s also worth mentioning that Miller is a trained professional wrestler, having competed under the name Rusty Iron in three of TNA/IMPACT’s “IPWF Throwback Throwdown” events. She also has experience managing talent in promotions like Wrestling Revolver and OVW, leaving open the possibility of this incident evolving into an in-ring feud.
