Bobby Lashley Wants MJF Out of The Hurt Syndicate – Tensions within The Hurt Syndicate boiled over on the July 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, as Bobby Lashley made it clear he’s had enough of MJF.
The issues began earlier in the night when The Hurt Syndicate—Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin—briefly aligned with Cope to launch a post-match assault on FTR following their bout with JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey). The attack signaled a strategic shift for the faction, but MJF wasn’t pleased.
Backstage, MJF criticized the group, specifically calling out MVP, Benjamin, and Lashley for failing to back him up during his confrontation with Adam Page. The verbal shots didn’t sit well with Lashley, who snapped—lunging across the room and slamming MJF against a locker, grabbing him by the throat.
Lashley vented his frustrations, blasting MJF for being selfish and making everything about himself. In a clear message, Lashley stated that he wants MJF out of The Hurt Syndicate. The moment was tense and emotional, with MVP and Benjamin silently walking away, visibly disappointed with how the situation played out.
Despite the apparent fracturing of the group, MJF showed no signs of backing down. Later in the show, the former AEW World Champion responded defiantly. He declared that he doesn’t need Bobby Lashley—or anyone else—to reclaim the AEW World Title. MJF then put “Hangman” Adam Page on notice, making it clear that his focus remains on championship gold.
As internal conflicts threaten to tear apart The Hurt Syndicate, MJF seems more determined than ever to go it alone. Whether Lashley’s outburst will result in MJF’s actual removal from the group remains to be seen, but the alliance appears to be hanging by a thread.
