Big Change to TNA Slammiversary Main Event – The main event of TNA Slammiversary 2025 just got a major upgrade. Following a heated Street Fight win over AJ Francis on last week’s episode of TNA iMPACT, Mike Santana made his intentions clear — he wanted in on the TNA World Championship picture.
After the match, Santana grabbed the mic and addressed both reigning champion Trick Williams and challenger Joe Hendry. “When you mention the (TNA) World Title, you mention my damn name,” he said defiantly. “You know what I want right! Joe Hendry, Trick Williams, Mike Santana… the main event (at TNA Slammiversary).”
That request didn’t go unanswered. TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella, in a new video shared across social media, made the change official. “BREAKING: @milanmiracle has listened to the fans and @Santana_Proud has been added to the TNA World Title match at #TNASlammiversary,” TNA announced. “It will now be @_trickwilliams vs. @joehendry vs. Mike Santana for the TNA World Title LIVE on PPV and TNA+ on July 20 at the UBS Arena on Long Island, NY.”
Originally, the main event was set to feature just Trick Williams defending against Joe Hendry, who earned the shot after a strong performance in the recent Champions Challenge. Hendry opened last week’s show by declaring his mission to return the world title to TNA. However, the addition of Santana could complicate those plans, as the fiery New Yorker brings an unpredictable edge to the high-stakes match.
Whether Santana’s inclusion improves or jeopardizes Hendry’s chances remains to be seen. Either way, the new triple threat format raises the stakes for what is shaping up to be one of the most compelling Slammiversary main events in recent years.
Updated Card for TNA Slammiversary 2025 – July 20, UBS Arena (Long Island, NY):
- Trick Williams (c) vs. Joe Hendry vs. Mike Santana – TNA World Championship
- Moose (c) vs. Leon Slater – X Division Championship
- TNA World Tag Team Championship – Four-Way Ladder Match (Teams TBA)
