7/25 WWE SmackDown Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of WWE SmackDown on July 25, from the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, featuring a tribute to Hulk Hogan.

There is a graphic In Memory of Hulk Hogan on the tron and the roster is on the stage.

Triple H says that we lost one of the biggest global icons yesterday.  A man he grew up watching, shared the ring with, and was honored to call him a friend.  He capitvated millions of us and inspired them around the globe.  We would not be standing here if not for him.   He asks for a ten bell salute.

The crowd chants for Hogan as we cut to a video package for Hulk that is narrated by Paul Levesque.

We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Logan Paul makes his way to the ring.

Logan says it is good to be home.  He wants to know what is going on after all of the ‘Thank you Logan’ chants a few minutes ago.  Logan says this city raised him, but this city did not make him.  Logan says he made this city.  He says people think Logan is like us and he says they have nothing in common.  He says he made it out while you didn’t.  Logan says tonight is not about him.  It is about the community.  He says he is giving back.  He is giving Cleveland a chance to see a special episode of his show live.  He is bringing out the human donut hole who made a mockery of the business is on Jimmy Kimmel.

Jelly Roll’s music interrupts and he comes to the ring.

He says you don’t have to play that song to know who Logan’s daddy is.  You are not an inspiration.  You just inspired a**hole kids to be a**holes.  He says he is sick of Logan talking about Cleveland because people don’t like him.

Logan asks Jelly to show him some respect.  He tells Jelly that he is getting in the ring with two of WWE’s finest.  He says he gets to tag in Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton gets to tag in you?  Who do you think you are?

Jelly says he is the man who is going to put Logan in a body bag and send him back to Westlake.   Jelly says Logan never had a struggle in his life.  You have been a silver spoon kid your entire life.  He says he is not getting in the ring just for him.  He is representing every poor kid who never thought they could get it done and was bullied by the jocks.  He is here to bring light to this ring.  All you brought into the ring is a ring light.  He says he is here because he has been a WWE fan his entire life.  WWE represented him and every one of us.  You make fun of his story but his story has inspired millions and millions.

Jelly says that Logan is soft as Charmin and he is nothing but a Prime peddling punk a** bitch.

Drew McIntyre shows up and stands next to Logan as he takes off his shirt. Jelly says they made a mistake if they thought he came here alone. Jelly starts to sing Randy’s music and then it plays and he comes to the ring.

Randy punches Drew with the mic and Jelly with forearms to Logan.  Drew rakes Randy’s eyes on the floor and Drew hits Jelly from behind.  Drew wants to punch Jelly but he tags in to Logan and Logan with punches.  

Randy pulls Drew to the floor and Randy kicks Drew against the ringside barrier.   Jelly with jabs and a back elbow and shoulder tackle.  Logan with a kick to Jelly while Drew and Randy continue to brawl on the floor.  Logan misses a punch and Jelly with a uranage.

— In a video, Andrade says he knows who Rey Fenix is.  He says he is El Animal.  Rey says he knows that Andrade is La Sombra.  Andrade says they are money.  Rey says any move is intentional and they are on a different level.  It is a matter of time until the gold is around their waist.  Andrade says they are the standard.  Rey says they are money.

Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez

Perez pushes Alexa and Alexa with a rollup for a near fall.  Alexa with another rollup for a near fall.  Alexa blocks a kick and gets another near fall with a rollup.  Perez sends Alexa to the mat.  Alexa with another rollup for a near fall.  Perez slaps Alexa and Alexa grabs Perez by the throat and sends her to the floor.  Perez covers up in the corner and Alexa with a chop to the midsection followed by a cannonball to Perez off the apron.  Raquel gets in Alexa’s face and Charlotte runs interference with her pom poms.  They return to the ring and Alexa walks across Perez and hits the double knee drop but Raquel distracts Alexa and Perez hits Alexa from behind.

Perez with punches to Alexa followed by an Irish whip and uppercut.  Perez with a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall.  Perez uses the hair to send Alexa to the mat and Alexa slaps Perez.  Perez punches back.  Perez chokes Alexa in the ropes and the referee warns Perez.  Alexa swings at Raquel but misses.  Perez chokes Alexa in the ropes.  Perez gets a near fall.  Alexa with a jaw breaker and Perez with a clothesline.  Perez gets a near fall.  Perez with a straitjacket choke and she sends Alexa to the mat.  Perez stands on Alexa’s back and she stomps Alexa’s head into the mat.  Perez pie faces Alexa and she tries to stomp on her head again but Alexa stops her and she hits a dragon screw.  Alexa with a back elbow and a kick.  Alexa with shoulder tackles and a slap and knee.

Alexa with a drop kick and she stomps on Perez’ head. Alexa with a blockbuster.  Alexa sets for Sister Abigail but Perez with a rake of the eyes to get out of the hold.  Raquel drops Alexa on the ropes and Perez hits a double jump moonsault for a near fall.  Flair sends Raquel over the ringside barrier into the time keeper’s area.  Alexa with a punch and DDT.  Alexa goes up top while Raquel takes care of lair with a boot.  Raquel sets for a power bomb on the floor and Alexa with Twisted Bliss to Raquel on the floor.  Alexa says something to Raquel and Raquel with a rollup and her hand on the ropes for the three count.

Winner:  Roxanne Perez

Backstage:

Cathy Kelley is with Jade Cargill. Cathy asks Jade how is she feeling. Jade says she fought through something that should have taken her out.  She will show why she is a natural born champion.

Chelsea Green shows up and she asks for Alba and Piper to secure the perimeter and get her coffee.  Green says she was robbed of her chance to face Tiffany Stratton and she insults Jade while Jade shows up behind her.  Green realizes that Jade is standing behind her. Jade punches Green and they make their way to the ring with Jade sending Green into the aisle.

Jade Cargill vs. Chelsea Green

Jade with a bicycle kick and Piper and Alba make their way to the ring to check on Green.  Jade pulls Green up on the apron and she connects with a forearm that sends Green onto Fyre and Piper.  Jade sends Green into the ringside barrier and apron.  Jade gets Green on her shoulders and she gives her snake eyes.  Green goes to the floor and goes up the aisle.  Jade hits Green from behind.  Green is sent back into the ring by Jade.  Jade kicks at Fyre and Green with a Rough Ryder for a near fall.  Green with forearms.  Green with a reverse chin lock.  Jade with elbows and Green sends Jade to the mat.  Gree with a sliding flatliner for a near fall.

Green with a sleeper.  Jade with elbows to escape but Green with a clothesline.  Green salutes herself and Jade waits for her to turn around to hit a series of elbows.  Jade catches Green and hits a fallaway slam.  Jade with an elbow into the corner and a splash into the corner.  Jade with a choke slam.  Alba gets on the apron and Jade swings at her.  Green with a Zig Zag for a near fall.  Green goes for UnPrettiHer but Jade escapes and she hits Jaded for the three count.

Winner:  Jade Cargill

After the match, Alba kicks Jade and Piper with forearms.

Tiffany Stratton’s music plays and she comes to the ring and she takes Alba down and punches her.  Piper pulls Tiffany off Alba.  Tiffany with a drop kick to Piper. Jade picks up the title belt and Tiffany is not happy about that and she want her belt back.  Jade does not let go at first.

— Charlotte says we can’t let this happen at SummerSlam.  Alexa thanks Charlotte for being cool about it.  Charlotte says if they win, maybe they can become friends.

— Cody Rhodes walks into a commercial.

— We are back with a video package for Hulk Hogan’s victory over the Iron Sheik in 1984.

In the Arena:

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring.

Cody says yesterday WWE and pro wrestling lost one of its giants in Hulk Hogan.  The emotions are complicated.  His accomplishments and contributions to sports entertainment and entertainment are staggering.  To say that he is a WWE Superstar, Hogan was the first and he thanks Hogan for that.

Cody says there are street fights and then there is what is going to happen at SummerSlam.  They are not talking about virtue or victory, we are talking about violence.  Sometimes the right thing is not the right thing to do.  Cody says he does not want to wrestle ‘this’ John Cena.  He doesn’t want to fight a guy who didn’t want this match and a man who is counting the days until he is out the door.  Cody says he wants to fight the real John Cena.  If he is going to own it, he has to go through the best.  He says Cena is the best since he has the title.  This is not about headlines or nostalgia.  Cena redefined what a star is.  He wants this SummerSlam to be like his first.  He wants him talking to Stu, wearing the belt the right way, and that he runs to the ring.  He wants to be able to fight the hustle, loyalty, and respect.

Cody says he wants the real John Cena because he has to know that this story is not fantasy or legacy.  He needs to know that it meant something and that it was real.  He says John Cena is the only one who knows that.  He says he will see John Cena next week.

Backstage.

Jacob Fatu tells Solo he loved him but you made it like this.  You tried to get me framed and put me in jail.  He says he is never going back.  Adam Pearce said he was going to lock him down in a cage with Solo.  He doesn’t mind being locked down in the cage one on one against Solo.

Miz shows up and he was put on the shelf for six weeks and it allowed him to realize who he is.  He says he is not a victim or the target, but he is the main character.  He got a match and he says that he is back. Miz slaps Fatu. Fatu asks if that is what it is coming to.  He tells Miz to bring it.

We go to commercial.

We Hear from Aleister Black and Damian Priest

Aleister Black tells Damian he felt that he had to stick his nose in his business. The debt he is going to collect is Damian’s. Damian says Black reminds him of a collector he knew. Black says Priest thinks they come from the same cloth. Priest fights for himself but Priest is like him. Black says he will tear down the walls and when there is nothing left, you will see yourself and you will not like it. Priest says he is going to show that he is the bad guy next week. He is not going to be the peace maker, but he will be the Punisher.

The Miz vs. Jacob Fatu

They lock up and Miz with punches but Fatu sends Miz into the corner. Miz with a boot but Fatu with a back elbow. Fatu with a splash into the corner and he head butts Miz. Fatu goes for the running hip but misses. Fatu with a clothesline.  Fatu with punches as Solo Sikoa’s music plays and the House of Bloodline shows up.  

Miz clips Fatu and sends him shoulder first into the ring post.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Fatu punches Miz many times.  Miz with a kick and Fatu with a clothesline and back senton.  Fatu with a splash into the corner and he head butts Miz from the turnbuckles.  Fatu with a running hip and then Miz is pulled to the floor and Fatu with a suicide dive onto Mateo, Miz, and Loa.  Fatu sends Tala into the ring post and Fatu with a super kick to Solo.  Fatu with a pop up Samoan Drop for the three count.

Winner:  Jacob Fatu

After the match, Solo and friends attack Fatu.

Jimmy Uso’s music plays and he coms to the ring with a chair and he tosses it and Solo is sent to the floor.  Jimmy hits Tala in the midsection and back with the chair but he shakes it off.  Tala with a boot to Jimmy.  Solo and Mateo return to the ring and Tala holds Fatu for Solo.  Fatu kicks Solo and backs ala into the corner.  Fatu with elbows.  Fatu with a super kick to Mateo and he sends Loa into Tala and hits a super kick.  Fatu with a kick to Solo and he grabs the chair.  Fatu puts the chair around Solo’s neck.

Tala with a clothesline to Fatu to save Solo.  Tala with a choke slam to Fatu and then Solo with a Samoan Spike to Fatu.

Backstage:

Cathy is with The Street Profits and B-Fab.  She asks Montez and Angelo about what Rey and Andrade need to do to win. Fab says they have to be dealt with a different way.  Montez says there are rules for dealing with them.  Ford wants to know why they weren’t in the match.  Dawkins says they are going to face the winner. Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae show up and tell them that they will handle the division.  Candice tells them to stay out of the way.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with a look at Wrestlemania III.

Backstage:

Zelina Vega walks up to Giulia and Kiana James shows up and says that she is Giulia’s representation.  She says that Vega has to go through her. Vega says no one has come up to her since she won the title and she wants the rematch. Kiana says Vega gets her rematch next week and Vega will be another footnote in her portfolio. Vega tells tragedy lures but fortune first.  She says she will see her next week.

— Wade and Joe run through the cards for both nights of SummerSlam.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) (c) vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix

Gacy and Rey start things off and they exchange punches.  Andrade tags in and Rey with kicks and then they send Gacy and Lumis into the ropes and they connect with stereo kicks.  Andrade with a suplex to Gacy and he holds on for the Three Amigos and hits it.  Rey tags in and he goes up top but Lumis pushes Rey off the turnbuckles to stop the frog splash.  Gacy with a handspring clothesline to Andrade.  Lumis sends Rey back into the ring and Gacy with a punch and he tags in Lumis.  Lumis with a kick.  Lumis with an elbow to the back of the neck.  Rey with chops but Lumis with a forearm.  Lumis with punches.  Gacy tags in and punches Rey followed by a suplex and elbow drop.  Gacy with a kick.

Lumis tags in and they exchange punches.  Lumis with a slam and elbow drop.  Lumis works on the neck.  Rey with punches to escape a power bomb and Lumis stop a tag attempt.  Lumis with a punch and Rey with a super kick.  Gacy and Andrade tag in and Andrade with a clothesline and a dragon screw.  Andrade with a flying forearm to Lumis.  Andrade sets for the running double knee strike on Gacy and he hits it.  Andrade gets a near fall.  Andrade sets for The Message but Gacy escaps.  Lumis tags in and Lumis with a reverse atomic drop and Gacy with a clothesline.  Lumis with a leg drop for a near fall.  Rey tries to swing in the ropes and Gacy drop kicks Rey to the floor.

Gacy tags in and Lumis with a slam and Gacy power bombs Lumis onto Andrade’s knees.  Andrade with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Andrade with the back elbow and Rey with a plancha onto Lumis.  Andrade with The Message but Nikki pulls the referee out of the ring and the referee calls for the bell.

Winners:

After the match, Rowan attaks Andrade and then he catches Axiom and sends him into Frazer.  Rowan stops Shelley and Sabin.  He sets for a double choke slam on them but Andrade and Rey stop Rowan.  Gacy sends Shelley to the floor and then Rowan sends Sabin to the floor.

Dawkins and Ford go after Rowan and Ford with an enzuigiri to Rown and Dawkins with a shoulder tackle to send Rowan to the floor.

Ciampa and Gargano come to the ring with Nick Aldis and Frazer and Axiom take care of them.  Dawkins with a flip dive followed by a ring post plancha by Ford.

Nick Aldis says he has had enough of this.  He says you are willing to end each other over the titles.  Nick says at SummerSlam, we are getting a TLC match.

The brawl continues as we go to credits.

7/25 WWE SmackDown Preview

Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown will serve as a special tribute to Hulk Hogan, with several legendary figures from his era set to appear. WWE Hall of Famers Jimmy Hart, Sgt. Slaughter, and “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase are expected to take part in the celebration of Hogan’s iconic career.

In championship action, Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis of The Wyatt Sicks will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time since defeating The Street Profits on the July 11 episode of SmackDown. They will face Rey Fenix and Andrade, who earned their title shot by overcoming Nathan Frazer and Axiom, #DIY, and The Motor City Machine Guns in a Fatal Four-Way Number One Contenders Match last week.

Cody Rhodes is also scheduled to appear ahead of his Undisputed WWE Championship Street Fight against John Cena at SummerSlam Night Two on August 3. Rhodes made headlines last Friday when he forced Cena to sign the SummerSlam contract after slamming him through a table, following Cena’s hesitation due to movie commitments.

As the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match between Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez and the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss draws closer at SummerSlam Night One, Bliss and Perez will face off in singles competition tonight. Last week, Flair scored a win over Rodriguez in a preview of their tag showdown.

Randy Orton, Jelly Roll, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul are also confirmed to appear. The four will meet in tag team action at SummerSlam Night One, and tensions are expected to continue rising ahead of their clash.
