Samoa Joe vs Jon Moxley for AEW World Title Set for Beach Break – The AEW World Championship match between Jon Moxley and Samoa Joe has been made official for AEW Dynamite: Beach Break on May 14, following yet another chaotic confrontation on the April 23 episode of Dynamite.
Samoa Joe earned the opportunity after choking out Moxley on the April 16 episode to secure the AEW Trios Championships for The Opps—Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata. This week, Joe once again gained the upper hand on Moxley, this time in a wild segment that also featured hip-hop legend Master P.
Master P opened the show by celebrating with the new Trios Champions, basking in their recent victory. However, the celebration was short-lived as the Death Riders stormed the ring, ambushing The Opps. While Powerhouse Hobbs and Shibata were fending off attacks, Marina Shafir appeared from the crowd, escalating the tension.
The moment turned even more chaotic when Moxley came face-to-face with Master P in the ring. Seizing the distraction, Joe blindsided Moxley and locked him in the coquina clutch, nearly putting the AEW World Champion to sleep once again.
