1/28 AEW Dynamite Results – We are live! Excalibur, Taz, and Bryan Danielson greet audiences at home as Kenny Omega makes his way to the ring. Rocky Romero is already waiting inside.

Kenny Omega vs. Rocky Romero

The bell rings and Omega fires off right hands on Romero in the corner. He connects with a Famouser on Romero, then sets up for the V-Trigger. Romero rolls out of the ring before Omega can connect with the move, but Omega surprises Romero with a Snap Dragon suplex and delivers a V-Trigger. He follows it up with a One Winged Angel for the win.

Winner: Kenny Omega

After the match, Tony Schiavone joins Omega in the ring and Omega reiterates his confidence in becoming AEW World Champion. “Hangman” Adam Page makes his way to the ring and tells Omega that he made the mistake of looking past Samoa Joe and The Opps when he held the AEW World Champion. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana follow Page, and Strickland says he came back to AEW to become the AEW World Champion. He says he doesn’t care who he has to go through to get what he wants, and Omega tells Strickland that it sounds like Strickland is looking for a fight. 

Don Callis emerges at ringside and says he has something important to say. He warns Omega that Andrade El Idolo will come for him after he beats Strickland later tonight, then says The Don Callis Family runs “Dynamite”. Omega says Callis should’ve been worrying about himself and chases him to the back as Strickland, Nana, and Page follow. 

We then head over to a video of Kris Statlander and Babes of Wrath, where Babes of Wrath agree to give Skye Blue and Julia Hart an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship shot this coming Saturday on “Collision” as long as they stay in the back tonight. 

Back at ringside, Jon Moxley makes his way out. Ace Austin follows. 

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Ace Austin in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match

The bell rings and Moxley lands a chop on Austin. He rains down right hands on Austin, but Austin rolls up Moxley. Moxley kicks out, but Austin delivers a series of chops to Moxley and follows it up with an arm drag. He delivers a dropkick to Moxley.

Back from the break, Moxley sends Austin crashing into the corner and fires off shoulders on his midsection. He sits Austin on the top rope, then joins him up there and rakes his back before he connects with a superplex on him. Austin levels Moxley with a clothesline, then delivers a Russian Leg Sweep and a leg drop to Moxley. He follows it up with a clothesline to him in the corner, but Moxley levels Austin with a clothesline.

Austin and Moxley fire off right hands on one another, but Austin rocks Moxley with a kick to his head. The two men then exchange right hands with one another, but Moxley lands a Death Rider to Austin for the win.

Winner: Jon Moxley

After the match, Konosuke Takeshita’s music hits and he makes his way out. He stares down Moxley and points to the Continental Championship belt, but Mark Davis and Jake Doyle sneak up behind Moxley and take him out.

El Clon then makes his way to the ring. Mark Briscoe follows, and Don Callis joins the announce desk.

Mark Briscoe (c) vs. El Clon for the TNT Championship

The bell rings and the two lock up. Clon levels Briscoe with a back elbow, but Briscoe pulls Clon out of the ring and lands a chop on him. He fires off right hands on him, then levels Clon with a headbutt and throws a chair into the ring to use it as a launch pad.

Clon dumps the chair out of the ring, but Briscoe runs over him with a lariat and levels Clon with a dropkick through the middle rope on the outside. Clon traps Briscoe in the ring skirt face first and lands a dropkick on the side of his head, then runs over Mark with a boot.

Back from the break, Clon delivers a clothesline to Briscoe in the corner and follows it up with a single leg springboard moonsault on Briscoe off the ropes. Clon rocks Briscoe with a thrust kick to his face, but Briscoe fires off right hands and left hands on Clon. Briscoe and Clon then level one another with clotheslines before they exchange right hands with one another and Briscoe takes out Clon with a suplex.

Briscoe delivers a splash to Clon in the corner, then lands a Brainbuster on him and follows it up with Froggy Bow off the top rope. He goes for a pin, but Clon kicks out and Briscoe looks to deliver the J-Driller to him.

Clon lands on his feet, then sends Briscoe crashing out of the ring with a kick to his head and delivers a moonsault to him off the ring apron. He gets Briscoe up on his shoulders, but Briscoe reverses into a roll-up on Clon for the win.

Winner (and still): Mark Briscoe

After the match, Briscoe grabs a microphone and says he promised to be a defending TNT Champion. He says he loved the concept of bringing back the TNT Open Challenge this Saturday, which is open to everyone except The Don Callis Family. The lights then go out as mysterious music begins playing, and Tommaso Ciampa makes his way out. He stares down Briscoe, answering the call for his TNT Championship. 

We then head backstage, where Renee Paquette stands by as Kazuchika Okada apologizes to Kyle Fletcher in light of their recent tensions. Fletcher accepts Okada’s apology and shakes his hand. 

Back at ringside, MJF makes his way down.

MJF and Brody King Come Face-To-Face

MJF says the champ is speaking and it’s time for the fans to listen, but before he can say anything else, Brody King’s music hits and he makes his way out.

MJF demands that King’s music be cut off, then hops onto the apron as King stands on the opposite side. MJF asks if King will be professional, and King agrees. MJF and King then both enter the ring, and MJF says King has to beat someone who matters to get an AEW World Championship match. He says King is following him like a lost puppy as he did with Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Bandido, then proposes that King follow him around as his muscle provided that he undergoes a makeover. King laughs as MJF says in order to be AEW World Champion, one has to be a leader like him and says that King is nothing more than a follower.

King says he doesn’t need to follow anyone, then says what MJF just described are friends. He says MJF has never had any friends, then MJF says he hasn’t beaten anyone credible enough. He agrees with MJF, but says he sat down with Tony Khan and they agreed that it made sense for King to score a win over MJF in order to get a AEW World Championship match. He reveals that Khan granted him an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match next week and leaves the ring.

We then head over to a video from The Young Bucks, where they say it’s time to go back to their roots and put the entire tag team division on notice.

Back at ringside, Thekla makes her way out. Kris Statlander follows. 

Kris Statlander (w/ Babes of Wrath) (c) vs. Thekla (w/ Sisters of Sin) for the AEW Women’s World Championship

The bell rings and Statlander rocks Thekla with a forearm. She lands a leg drop on Thekla through the middle rope, then launches her into the ring steps face first and dumps her back in the ring. Thekla sends Statlander crashing off the ring apron with a big boot, then lands a diving stomp on Statlander off the ring apron.

Back from the break, Statlander sits Thekla on the top rope. Thekla uses the ropes to wrench back on Statlander, but Statlander launches Thekla into the turnbuckles face first and delivers a clothesline to her. She whips Thekla into the opposite corner of the ring and lands a boot on her, then follows it up with a twisting Michinoku Driver on her.

Thekla rocks Statlander with a boot to the side of her head as Statlander is draped through the middle rope, then ascends to the top and looks to fly. Statlander moves out of the way and drags Thekla into the corner, then ascends to the top rope. Thekla meets Statlander up there and delivers a superplex to her, then delivers a crossbody to statlander off the top rope to take her out on the outside.

Statlander lands a spear on Thekla, but Thekla responds with a Curb Stomp to Statlander and pins her. Thekla kicks out and lines up for a spear on Statlander, but Statlander sets up for Saturday Night Fever on Thekla. Thekla avoids it, but Statlander catches her with a powerbomb and Saturday Night Fever for the win.

Winner (and still): Kris Statlander

After the match, Babes of Wrath join Statlander in the ring. Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford appear on the entrance ramp and stare down Babes of Wrath.

We then head backstage and see a tense confrontation between Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita after Fletcher accepted Kazuchika Okada’s apology earlier tonight.

Back from the break, we head backstage and see The Demand attacking Jack Perry. Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun send Perry crashing through a table with a double Razor’s Edge. 

Back at ringside, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle make their way down. FTR and Stokely follow. 

FTR (w/ Stokely) (c) vs. Mark Davis and Jake Doyle (w/ Don Callis) for the AEW Tag Team Championship

Cash Wheeler and Doyle begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Dax Harwood and Wheeler rain down right hands on Davis in the corner, and Wheeler looks to fly. Davis and Doyle intercept him and take him out on the outside.

Back from the break, Harwood fires off a couple of right hands on Davis. Wheeler levels Doyle with a scoop powerslam, but Doyle and Davis stack Wheeler and Harwood on top of one another before landing splashes on both of them in the corner.

Wheeler sends Doyle crashing into the ring apron, but Harwood lands a superplex on Davis off the top rope and Wheeler follows it up with a Frog Splash to him. Davis clotheslines Wheeler out of the ring and cinches in a sleeper on Harwood, but Harwood sends Davis crashing into the corner spine first.

Jon Moxley, Marina Shafir, and Daniel Garcia appear at ringside, Moxley hits Davis with his Continental Championship belt, opening the door for FTR to land Shatter Machine on Davis for the win.

Winners (and still): FTR

Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana then make their way to the ring. Andrade El Idolo and Don Callis follow.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Andrade and Strickland fire off right hands on one another, but Andrade fires off chops on Strickland’s chest and Strickland responds with a hurricanrana to him. Strickland then looks to fly over the top rope, but Andrade ducks out of the way and sends Strickland crashing into the ring steps spine first. He takes a selfie with a woman’s phone, and the woman responds by kissing a tissue and handing it to Andrade.

Back from the break, Strickland delivers a Death Valley Driver to Andrade on the ring apron. Strickland and Andrade teeter on the barricade, but Andrade delivers a back body drop to Strickland and the pair return to the ring.

Strickland and Andrade exchange right hands with one another, but Strickland lands a boot on Andrade’s midsection and Andrade responds by firing off forearms on Strickland. He follows it up with a meteora to Strickland and goes for ap in, but Strickland kicks out and Andrade connects with a Hammerlock DDT on him.

Strickland lands a House Call on Andrade, but Andrade grabs the referee’s wrist. As she recovers, Andrade low blows Strickland and delivers The Message to Strickland for the win.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo

We then head backstage, where Kenny Omega puts MJF on notice. MJF then runs into Andrade, and Andrade tells MJF that he wants the AEW World Championship. MJF leaves the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park to get into his car, but “Hangman” Adam Page briefly stops MJF from getting into the car. MJF sneaks into the car, and the car speeds off as the show goes off the air.
