Tommaso Ciampa is Leaving WWE – Tommaso Ciampa has officially confirmed that his time with WWE is coming to an end. The former NXT Champion released a public statement announcing that his WWE contract will expire in the very near future and that he has chosen not to renew it. The announcement brings an end to a decade-long run with the company that defined much of his career.
In his statement, Ciampa reflected on the past ten years and expressed gratitude to those he worked alongside during his time in WWE. “I’d like to thank every single person who contributed to the last ten years of this incredible journey,” Ciampa wrote. He went on to acknowledge numerous departments and individuals within the company, adding, “A very special thank you to all of the men and women who I’ve shared a ring and locker room with… nothing but love and respect.”
Ciampa made a point to highlight the importance of his years in NXT, where he became one of the brand’s most recognizable figures. “And I would be remiss not to give a special thank you to my black and gold family. You will forever hold an incredibly special place in my heart,” he said. He also addressed the fans who supported him throughout his career, writing, “To the fans who have shown love and support over the last two decades… thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
While his WWE chapter is closing, Ciampa made it clear that his in-ring career is far from over. He reflected on the different phases of his wrestling journey, stating, “I spent the first decade of my career traveling the world on the independent scene. I spent the second decade of my career traveling the world with WWE. I have one decade remaining and I’m beyond excited for whatever challenges lie ahead.” The comment signals his intent to remain active and take on new opportunities outside WWE.
Ciampa also confirmed that he is now open for bookings, something he has not been able to say in over ten years. “With that said, for the first time in over ten years, I am available for all appearances, signings, photo ops, seminars, movies, tv appearances, fitness collaborations, sponsorships and so forth,” he wrote.
During his WWE run, Ciampa achieved significant success, including reigns as NXT Champion and multiple Tag Team Championships. His departure marks the end of an era for fans who followed his rise through NXT’s black and gold period and beyond. As he prepares for the next stage of his career, Ciampa leaves WWE with a legacy built on intensity, consistency, and a deep connection with the audience.
