Tommaso Ciampa Suffers Chin Injury, Forced to Shave His Beard

Tommaso Ciampa Suffers Chin Injury, Forced to Shave His Beard – Tommaso Ciampa shared a personal update this weekend, revealing a graphic and painful-looking chin injury sustained in an unfortunate fall. The incident, which happened shortly after his latest WWE appearance, left him with a deep gash under his chin — one that required him to shave his signature beard for the first time in years.

Posting to Instagram, Ciampa wrote: “Warning: graphic images ahead. Full Transparency: I had a fall this morning. I’m okay. But my beard is not.” The accompanying photo carousel began with a shot of Ciampa’s new clean-shaven look, followed by several images of the laceration under his chin. The injury appears severe, but Ciampa assured fans that he is otherwise doing fine.

Although Ciampa didn’t go into detail about how the accident occurred, it came just hours after his appearance on the April 18 episode of WWE SmackDown. He and Johnny Gargano, together known as #DIY, played a disruptive role during the show. During a match between WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits and the Motor City Machine Guns, DIY jumped the barricade mid-match and attacked both teams, causing the bout to end in a no contest. They then ran off with the title belts.

Later in the night, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis recovered the stolen titles and announced that all three teams would face off in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match on the April 25 episode of SmackDown.

It’s unclear whether Ciampa’s injury will impact his participation in next week’s match, but as of now, he is still expected to compete. Fans will be watching closely to see if his condition affects his performance in the high-risk TLC environment.
