Samoa Joe Sidelined with an Injury

Samoa Joe Sidelined with an Injury – Samoa Joe is temporarily out of action after suffering a non‑contact injury during training. The update was delivered on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where Excalibur announced that the former AEW World Champion has not been cleared to compete. No additional details were provided, and there is currently no timetable for his return.

Joe has been a central figure in AEW’s World Championship picture in recent months. He dropped the title to MJF at Worlds End in a four‑way match that also included Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page. His most recent match took place on the January 12 episode of Dynamite, where he faced “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

Before the injury, Joe captured the AEW World Championship from Page at Full Gear inside a steel cage, though his reign lasted only 35 days. He was also part of the AEW Trios Champions alongside Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs in The Opps. The trio lost the titles to JetSpeed and Page during the Maximum Carnage edition of Collision earlier this month.

With Joe now sidelined, AEW’s title landscape and trios division will move forward without one of its most dominant forces until he is cleared to return.
