Rhea Ripley on WrestleMania Contract Controversy, Declares It Legally Binding

Rhea Ripley on WrestleMania Contract Controversy, Declares It Legally Binding – Rhea Ripley is standing by her decision to hijack the WrestleMania 41 contract for the Women’s World Championship match, insisting that her actions were completely legal.

During RAW, Ripley crashed the contract signing between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair, which was meant to finalize their title bout at WrestleMania 41. Instead, The Eradicator took matters into her own hands, signing the contract herself and inserting herself into the match.

On Raw Recap, Sam Roberts questioned whether Ripley’s maneuver was legally valid, but she quickly dismissed any concerns. According to Ripley, her name is on the contract, making it official and binding.

Ripley: I Deserve My WrestleMania Spot

Speaking about her reasoning, Ripley explained that she had two main motivations. First, she wanted Bianca Belair to confront her own fears.

“My strategy is to make Bianca realize she was scared to face me one-on-one at WrestleMania. She’s scared of her streak ending. She’s scared that she won’t be able to beat me. I need her to reflect on that and acknowledge it.”

Secondly, Ripley sought respect from IYO SKY, referencing the moment she voluntarily vacated the title weeks ago.

“With IYO, I need her to realize that I was kind. I was giving. I have a soft spot for IYO, and I understood that what I did was wrong. I went to Adam Pearce and made a match for her when I didn’t have to. I want her to respect me the same way and give me my opportunity back.”

Ripley made it clear that she won’t stop until she has solidified her place at WrestleMania. With the contract signed, it remains to be seen whether WWE officials will allow her to remain in the match or if further complications will arise.
