AEW Renames Komander and Hologram’s Tag Team – AEW has officially changed the tag team name of Komander and Hologram following heavy criticism from fans and industry insiders.
Originally introduced as Lucha Stars, the name drew widespread backlash. Among those voicing their disapproval was Jose The Assistant, who publicly called for a rebranding. AEW has now responded to the criticism, unveiling a new name for the duo: Los Titanes del Aire.
The updated name was revealed in promotional material for their upcoming match on AEW Collision, where they will face The Beast Mortos and Dralistico of La Facción Ingobernable.
Jose The Assistant Takes Credit for the Change
Following the announcement, Jose The Assistant took to social media, claiming responsibility for influencing the decision.
“Thank you for listening and changing the name and you’re welcome. We can talk about a few other things also, since you’re reading my tweets. — Your always honest friend, Jose.”
Meanwhile, Komander continues to hold the ROH World Television Championship, and Hologram, who recently returned from injury, has been building momentum. The two have aligned in recent months and are currently feuding with La Facción Ingobernable.
With their new name now official, Los Titanes del Aire will look to make a statement as they continue their rivalry.
