More Details on WWE Hall Of Fame “Immortal Moment” Award – As noted, WWE has introduced a new honor for its Hall of Fame ceremony: the WWE Immortal Moment award. The first-ever recipient will be the iconic Submission Match between Bret “The Hitman” Hart and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin from WrestleMania 13.
The announcement was made during last week’s WWE SmackDown, with WWE following up on Monday morning with an official press release. The company confirmed that Hart and Austin will receive the inaugural award in person at the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony on Friday, April 18, at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
The legendary match, held at WrestleMania 13 in 1997 at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, is regarded as one of the greatest in WWE history. Austin, despite losing, became an unlikely hero after a dramatic performance that saw him pass out in the Sharpshooter rather than submit. Special guest referee Ken Shamrock called the match, which played a crucial role in Austin’s rise to superstardom and Hart’s transition into a villain.
This new recognition is meant to immortalize historic in-ring moments that have shaped WWE’s legacy. The 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony will also feature the inductions of WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger, Typhoon, and Earthquake of The Natural Disasters. Additional inductees will be announced in the coming weeks.
The event will take place in Fontainebleau Las Vegas’ 90,000-square-foot BleauLive Theater, offering an immersive experience for WWE fans. It will stream live in the U.S. on Peacock and across WWE’s social media platforms at 10 p.m. PT.
Tickets for the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony are available through Ticketmaster, with more details on WrestleMania 41 week events available online.
