The Hardys Set for WWE Return on Netx Week’s NXT – Matt and Jeff Hardy are officially stepping back into a WWE ring for the first time in years.
On the February 18 episode of WWE NXT, No Quarter Catch Crew (Tavion Heights, Myles Borne, and Charlie Dempsey) confronted NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom backstage. During the segment, Heights shifted his focus away from the NXT titles and instead issued a challenge to TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys for a match on the February 25 episode of NXT.
Shortly after the challenge was made, The Hardys responded with a video posted on social media. Matt Hardy, speaking for the legendary tag team, encouraged Axiom and Frazer to watch the match closely. He also took the opportunity to remind everyone that he and Jeff are, in his words, the greatest tag team of all time. The video segment was later aired during NXT, further solidifying the buildup for their in-ring return. Following this, WWE officially confirmed the match for next week’s episode.
This marks a significant moment in both Matt and Jeff Hardy’s careers. Matt has not competed in WWE since departing the company in 2020, while Jeff’s last match in WWE took place in December 2021 before his release. Their return on NXT adds yet another layer to the growing crossover between WWE and TNA Wrestling, which has seen multiple TNA stars appear in NXT in recent weeks.
The Hardys’ return to a WWE ring is now just days away, and fans will finally get to see the legendary duo in action on NXT.
