The broadcast averaged approximately 957,000 viewers from 8-10 p.m. on The CW, with 341,000 (0.25) in the key adults 18-49 demographic. This marks a major milestone for the brand, representing its highest viewership since moving from USA Network.
Since NXT debuted on The CW in October 2024, the previous viewership peak was set during its premiere episode, which garnered 895,000 viewers. Last night’s broadcast surpassed that number by a wide margin, demonstrating growing momentum for the show in its new time slot and on a broader platform.
Comparatively, one year ago on January 2, 2024, NXT drew 768,000 viewers on USA Network, matching a ten-week rolling average of 684,000. Two years ago, the January 3, 2023, episode brought in 653,000 viewers, with a lower rolling average of 639,000.
The show also posted a notable gain in the key 18-49 demographic, earning a 0.25 rating. This is significantly higher than the previous two weeks, which drew ratings of 0.15 and 0.14, respectively. The current rolling average is 0.18. By comparison, NXT a year ago recorded a 0.25 rating with a ten-week average of 0.20, while two years ago, it scored 0.16 with an average of 0.17.
The episode featured several high-profile matches and segments, including a triple threat for the NXT Championship with Trick Williams, Oba Femi, and Eddy Thorpe. Roxanne Perez challenged Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship, and Charlie Dempsey faced Lexis King. The Rock also made a special appearance, adding to the night’s excitement.
