Jeff Hardy Reflects on Career: “I Could Have Been Bigger Than John Cena” – During a recent interview promoting TNA’s upcoming TV tapings at the Curtis Culwell Center, Jeff Hardy shared reflections on his career and how different life choices might have shaped his path. The 47-year-old wrestling icon discussed how his younger lifestyle affected his trajectory and expressed gratitude for his continued presence in the industry.
Hardy speculated that, with more discipline in his 20s and 30s, his career could have reached even greater heights:
“The way I was living life in my 20s and 30s, and if I was living life the way I’m living life now, oh my gosh, there’s no telling. I would probably be bigger than John Cena today because I was born with such a gift to be a pro wrestler. It just felt so natural and like I was totally created to do this thing. And the cool thing about that is I’m still here. I still have life, and I feel good.”
Despite past struggles, Hardy remains focused on longevity. He highlighted his renewed emphasis on physical care, specifically mentioning the benefits of ice baths for recovery and mental clarity.
“As Matt had mentioned, we’re big ice baths, and that’s been crazy beneficial for me mentally and physically. So yeah, I don’t put a number on it. I’ll just pretty much wrestle until I can’t wrestle anymore.”
As Jeff and his brother Matt continue their storied careers, their commitment to healthier living signals their determination to remain active for as long as possible. Fans can look forward to seeing the charismatic enigma in action when TNA’s next tapings take place later this month.
