Nic Nemeth Signs Extension with TNA – It seems that Nic Nemeth, the reigning TNA World Champion, is staying with the company for the foreseeable future. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Nemeth has signed a contract extension with TNA Wrestling.
Nemeth’s previous deal was set to expire in early 2025, but both parties have reached an agreement on an extension. While the length of the new deal has not been disclosed, it appears Nemeth’s stay with TNA is secure for now. He made his TNA debut at the Hard To Kill event in January 2024.
Nemeth is scheduled to defend the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry at TNA Genesis on January 19 in Dallas, continuing his dominant reign.
Recently, Nemeth shared his thoughts on possibly making a surprise appearance in the 2025 Royal Rumble. He expressed enthusiasm about the idea, saying, “A rumble spot, dude that’s so cool. WWE’s killing it right now. To do something fun and wear my old trunks, get the old music to play, come out there, and kick somebody in the face, that would be awesome. It would just be something to have a viral moment so I could talk about TNA, so that’s the only reason I would want to do it. It’d be cool, see some old friends, but most importantly, I left on purpose, not because I hated that place, they’re killing it, [but] I love TNA and I love what I’m doing. I just don’t want to be anywhere else.”
It looks like Nemeth is committed to TNA and focused on his current role, despite the temptation of a return to WWE.
