8/31 AEW Collision Viewership Hits New Low – The August 31 episode of AEW Collision drew an average of 289,000 viewers, marking a significant 35% drop from the previous week’s 442,000 viewers. This is the lowest average viewership Collision has recorded during its regular timeslot since the show’s debut in June 2023, with only pre-empted episodes coming close to these figures.
In the key 18-49 demographic, the numbers also declined, with the August 31 episode scoring a 0.10 rating—down 23% from the 0.13 rating of the August 24 show. This placed Collision 19th among all primetime shows on Saturday night, with the top spots being dominated by the first full weekend of college football on both broadcast TV and ESPN.
Although AEW didn’t compete directly with WWE’s Bash In Berlin on this occasion, the next episode of Collision is expected to face additional challenges. It will be pre-empted due to AEW All Out airing on the same Saturday night, and Collision will go head-to-head with the September 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will be the blue brand’s final night on FOX before their return to the USA Network. Expectations for Collision‘s numbers on that night are not high.
