Bully Ray Questions Seth Rollins’ Alliance with Bronson Reed

Bully Ray Questions Seth Rollins’ Alliance with Bronson Reed – WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has raised questions about one of WWE’s top heel factions — specifically the unlikely alliance between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed.

Rollins currently leads a faction that includes Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and ‘Big’ Bronson Reed. While the group has dominated WWE programming in recent weeks, the decision to include Reed has left some fans — and wrestling veterans — puzzled. One of them is Bully Ray, who addressed the topic during a recent episode of Busted Open Radio.

Ray recalled the intense history between Rollins and Reed, particularly one brutal segment where Reed delivered multiple Tsunami splashes on Rollins. At the time, the beating was so severe that Rollins was briefly written off TV. That’s exactly why Bully Ray wants answers.

“I still want to know why, and maybe I missed it but I don’t think I did,” Bully said on the podcast. “Tell me why you’re friends… with the guy who hit six Tsunami Bombs on you, tried to cave in your ribs, thus ending your career.”

The WWE Hall of Famer emphasized that Reed wasn’t just any opponent — he inflicted serious damage. “He didn’t just try to hit you with a finisher move. He didn’t hit you with a splash off the top rope once — he did it five, six, seven times, whatever it is,” Ray continued. “Why are they friends? Have we gotten that yet?”

Bully went on to suggest how Rollins could address the situation and give the story some much-needed context.

“You were out for a while. You were on the shelf. Give me something,” he said. “Tell me, ‘You know what? I hate Bronson Reed. My wife hates Bronson Reed. And when my daughter grows up, she’s going to probably hate Bronson Reed too, for what he tried to do to her father. But I’m smart enough to know that I’d rather have Bronson Reed on my side than ever take one of his Tsunami bombs again.’”

While the alliance between Rollins and Reed has given the heel group added firepower, many fans and pundits — like Bully Ray — continue to question the logic behind their sudden partnership. As of now, WWE has yet to provide an in-universe explanation for the pairing.
