Tonga Loa Set for In-Ring Debut Next Week – Following his impactful arrival at WWE Backlash, Tonga Loa is set to make his in-ring debut as a member of The Bloodline. He will team up with Solo Sikoa in a tag team match against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) on next Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
This will mark Loa’s first WWE match since 2014, when he wrestled in NXT under the name Camacho. His reintroduction to WWE fans came at Backlash, where he assisted Sikoa and Tama Tonga in defeating Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a street fight, cementing his place in The Bloodline.
The Bloodline has undergone significant changes recently, with Solo Sikoa stepping up as the new leader, asserting that Roman Reigns has entrusted him with the group’s leadership during Reigns’ absence. Reigns has not been seen on WWE programming since his defeat to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. The faction now includes Tonga and Loa, while Jimmy Uso has been ousted.
Tonga Loa’s in-ring debut on SmackDown also signifies a name change from his NJPW days, where he was known as “Tanga Loa.” WWE has filed trademarks for both spellings of his name earlier this month.
Next Friday’s SmackDown, which takes place in Saudi Arabia, is poised to be a significant event, occurring just one night before WWE’s King & Queen of the Ring PLE. Additionally, Tama Tonga will face Randy Orton in a King of the Ring semifinal match on the same night. Tonga previously defeated Angelo Dawkins in the tournament, with The Street Profits being laid out by The Bloodline in that encounter.
