Sting Announces Retirement Match – Sting announced during the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite that he’ll be having his final match at the 2024 Revolution pay-per-view. In an emotional promo, he expressed his gratitude for the legendary wrestlers he’s had the privilege to share the ring with, such as Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Dusty Rhodes.
Sting also reflected on his 2015 retirement, revealing that it never truly felt right to him. He circled back to the topic of retirement and disclosed his decision to retire at the Revolution pay-per-view in 2024, just three years after his inaugural match with AEW.
Sting made his AEW debut in December 2020, and since joining the company, he has squared off against a range of formidable opponents, including FTR, Chris Jericho, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Jay Lethal.
