After being talked into it by Mickie James and Gail Kim, IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will be appearing at NWA Empowerrr.
Deonna first received the invitation at IMPACT Slammiversary but ended up on Mickie James’ bad side. However, on tonight’s show, Mickie James returned to IMPACT with an apology for Deonna and one more offer to join the historic show. Eventually, after Deonna said she would join the card if Mickey would grovel at her feet, Gail Kim came out and revealed that it was her who sent Mickie out at Slammiversary.
Both legends would convince Deonna that the upcoming NWA event would be a chance to cement his legacy and Deonna finally agreed to appear on the show in St Louis.
The event will take place on August 28 with Mickie James as the executive producer. Recently, James spoke to Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone all about how the event came together. You can check out the full interview embedded below:
