Former WWE star Killer Kross (fka Karrion Kross) is set to put his Awesome Championship Wrestling (ACW) Heavyweight Championship on the line against current TNA star Joseph Sawyer (fka Joe Gacy of the Wyatt Sicks), and the feud has already taken a personal turn ahead of their clash.
Ahead of their championship match, Kross released an intense social media promo targeting Sawyer. During the video, Kross referenced the late Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) and revealed that he was originally envisioned as part of the broader, cross-promotional expansion plans for the Wyatt faction before WWE took his character in a different direction.
“A Brand You Will Never Escape” & Original Wyatt Faction Plans
Addressing Sawyer’s recent high-profile arrival in TNA Wrestling alongside Samuel Shaw, Kross acknowledged Sawyer’s resilience following the changes to the Wyatt Sicks group on WWE television while reflecting on what could have been:
- Unfulfilled Faction Expansion: “I think to myself, Joe, it makes me so sad that I wasn’t in the Wyatt Sicks,” Kross revealed during the promo. “Because when Windham talked about the Wyatt Sicks, there was a crew of us that was going to expand across all three platforms. Six initially, but there was going to be a whole lot more… Every once in a while I used to ask myself, ‘Why didn’t they let me be a part of what I was supposed to be a part of?'”
- Sawyer’s Legacy: Acknowledging Sawyer’s association with the group, Kross added: “That’s a brand that you will never escape… But I know who you are and I’m so proud of you. You’re handling this whole catastrophe so well. I think that’s why he chose you.”
ACW Mischief Night 2 Title Clash Set For October 17
Kross shifted the promo back toward their upcoming championship encounter, asserting that he was placed on a different path to serve as the ultimate hurdle for Sawyer’s career development.
Promising a brutal fight, Kross declared he plans on “beating the ever-loving f***** s***”* out of Sawyer to ensure his opponent lives up to his potential.
The ACW Heavyweight Championship defense takes place at ACW Mischief Night 2 on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.
