The Demon Finn Balor Returns On 10/30 SmackDown To Annihilate Gunther

A terrifying ghost from the past resurfaced during the October 30 Halloween edition of SmackDown in Charleston, West Virginia, as Finn Balor brings back The Demon on WWE SmackDown to obliterate Gunther during a wild segment involving host Danhausen.

The carnage began with Danhausen preparing to unveil his long-teased “evil experiment,” only for Gunther to interrupt and powerbomb him through a table. When Danhausen’s cloning machine produced a series of mini-Danhausens, “The Ring General” systematically destroyed them, powerbombing one onto another through a second table.

However, as Gunther locked Danhausen in a sleeper hold, the host uttered a final curse before the arena lights went completely dark.

Coup De Grace From The Ladder Leaves Gunther Laying

When the lights restored, The Demon was revealed as Danhausen’s true experiment.

Gunther attempted to fight back, striking Balor with a GTR and his championship belt, but The Demon completely no-sold the attack. Balor answered with a Sling Blade and a running dropkick that sent the former World Heavyweight Champion crashing through a table set up in the corner.

The violence spilled to ringside, where Balor laid Gunther across the announce desk. Scaling a ladder brought from beneath the ring, Balor delivered a massive Coup de Grace through the table, leaving Gunther in ruins to close the show alongside Danhausen.

With the shocking return of Balor’s darker persona, a heavyweight collision between The Demon and Gunther is expected to be finalized for WWE Crown Jewel 2026 next weekend in Riyadh.
