Following the suddedn death of Benjamin “PAC” Satterley, Tony Khan announced that the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite would serve as a special tribute to the late Champion.
AEW Dynamite is scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. WWE, meanwhile, had already announced that its WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event would stream on YouTube that same night at 7 PM ET.
According to a report from PWInsider, WWE will not change the schedule for Worlds Collide despite AEW dedicating Dynamite to PAC.
“For those who have asked whether WWE Worlds Collide stream will be moved to a different day since it was going up against AEW’s Tribute to Pac, that will not be the case,” Mike Johnson reported. “The show will still premiere tomorrow at 7 PM Eastern.”
WWE Worlds Collide and AEW’s PAC Tribute
Worlds Collide originally took place as a live event opposite AEW All Out in the Chicago area on September 26. CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano vs. Omos, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh in a six-man tag team match, was the main event of the taped show.
AEW All Out was headlined by Will Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley. The event also featured what became PAC’s final match before his death, as he unsuccessfully challenged Andrade El Idolo for the National Championship less than 24 hours before Satterley’s death.
The upcoming AEW Dynamite will feature a special tribute to PAC, with two of his notable rivals facing each other.
Khan announced that Ospreay will take on Ricochet on Wednesday night. The AEW CEO shared a graphic for the match while explaining that the bout would be held in honor of PAC.
“2 iconic rivals of late great legend PAC will fight 1-on-1 in honor of our fallen friend on Wednesday Night Dynamite’s PAC Tribute tomorrow! This one’s for Ben,” Khan wrote on X.
Despite the circumstances surrounding the AEW tribute, WWE Worlds Collide will continue to premiere at its previously announced time of 7 PM ET. AEW Dynamite will follow at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT with its special PAC tribute episode.
