According to PWInsider, sources within WWE believe the company is actively laying the groundwork to pit its two reigning world champions competing against each other for the Crown Jewel Championship on November 7.

The reported match hinges on both titleholders maintaining their reigns through the fall, but recent booking decisions have already set the necessary pieces in motion.
Zayn shocked the wrestling world on the September 11 episode of SmackDown in Mexico City by defeating CM Punk to recapture the Undisputed WWE Championship following a chaotic sequence involving Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Kevin Owens. Shifting the title back to Zayn effectively side-stepped another immediate singles encounter between Punk and Reigns, who previously headlined Night Two of WrestleMania 42 in April.
Reigns did his part on the September 14 broadcast of RAW, surviving a grueling main event against Penta to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.
