The newly crowned AAA Mega Champion had been absent from WWE television since May, but his sudden appearance provided an unexpected highlight before chaos ultimately overwhelmed the opening segment.
Surprise Comeback Saves High-Stakes Opening Segment
The broadcast opened with WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio introducing newly crowned Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to celebrate her championship victory in Chile. The festive atmosphere was abruptly shattered when Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan crashed the stage to taunt the champion and the local crowd.
Dominik attempted to lay down a challenge for a mixed tag team match featuring himself and Morgan against Rey and Vaquer. However, General Manager Adam Pearce immediately shut down the proposal, refusing to clear Rey due to his ongoing neck injury.
Before the segment could dissolve, Americano made a shock appearance, marching down the ramp to a thunderous reaction from the audience and stepping up to align with Vaquer for the impromptu contest.
