The high-stakes main event of Triplemanía 34 Night 1 carried severe career consequences: an Omos defeat meant a permanent ban from AAA, while a victory lifted his active suspension and guaranteed his right to accompany Dominik Mysterio to the ring for his AAA Mega Championship defense against El Grande Americano on Night 2 in Mexico City.
Family Heartbreak, External Interference & Brutal Finish
The giant established immediate dominance, utilizing his massive height advantage to punish Mysterio in front of Rey’s wife, who sat front row at ringside.
Mysterio managed to build momentum by utilizing his speed, putting Omos down with a sequence of 619s. However, the match quickly descended into bedlam when Dominik Mysterio sprinted to ringside to attack his father, prompting El Grande Americano to storm out and balance the scales.
During the brawl, Dominik gained the upper hand on Americano, jamming a steel chair directly into his throat. The distraction at ringside proved fatal for Rey. Omos capitalized on the chaos, leveling the AAA General Manager with a big boot before putting him away with a chokeslam to secure the three-count.
