The September 15 episode of WWE NXT on The CW featured a major crossover moment when newly crowned AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina made a surprise arrival to confront NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan.
The segment kicked off when Jordan took to the ring, declaring that no viable challengers remained in the division to step up and contest her championship.
Her declaration was interrupted by Catalina, fresh off her massive victory at AAA Triplemanía 34 Night Two, where she ended Flammer’s historic 1,128-day reign to capture the Reina de Reinas Championship.
Brawl Breaks Out In Women’s Division
After Catalina and Jordan traded words in the center of the ring, NXT Women’s North American Champion ZARIA made her entrance to assert her own dominance. The situation escalated further when Thea Hail joined the confrontation, reminding ZARIA that she had already defeated her in the past and planned to take back the North American title.
“I’ve already beaten ZARIA, and I just need to do it again to become the Women’s North American Champion again,” Hail stated before tensions boiled over.
ZARIA struck Hail, sparking a four-way brawl inside the ring. The unexpected alliance of Catalina and Hail quickly gained control, overwhelming both Jordan and ZARIA to stand tall at the end of the segment.
