Conflicting reports have surfaced regarding Bayley’s contractual standing with WWE following her high-profile return on the September 7 edition of WWE RAW.
Following her surprise interference in the Triple Threat Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match—where she cost Lyra Valkyria the win against Sol Ruca and Maxxine Dupri—Dave Meltzer reported that the multi-time Women’s Champion had officially inked a new deal with the promotion.
- “Yep, signed a new deal,” Meltzer stated when asked about her status.
PWInsider Disputes Re-Signing Claims
However, PWInsider directly refuted Meltzer’s report. Citing multiple WWE sources, the outlet reported that no recent contract negotiations have taken place between the two sides because Bayley still has significant time remaining on her existing agreement.
Addressing claims that her on-screen return was dependent on signing a new extension, the report stated flatly:
“Anyone claiming she signed a new deal as a condition of her return would be 100% wrong.”
Full-Time Roster Status Confirmed
Despite the conflicting narratives around her contract timeline, her immediate future with the company is clear. PWInsider confirmed that Bayley’s appearance on RAW was not a one-off engagement.
She is officially back on the RAW roster on a full-time basis and is scheduled to travel with the brand as her rivalry with Valkyria resumes.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Regardless of whether a contract has been signed yet, it appears to be only a matter of time. Bayley is and remains a WWE star, and at this point, there is no indication that her career will involve wrestling for any company other than WWE.
