Zaria stands alone at the top of the division after capturing a high-stakes triple threat match at NXT Heatwave, defeating WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair and powerhouse contender Kali Armstrong to become the unified champion.
The match came together after Robert Stone booked the unification bout following back-to-back failed attempts by Zaria and Sinclair to claim each other’s respective singles titles. Armstrong forced her way into the picture late after convincing Stone to add her to the card, setting up a Triple Threat Winner-Takes-All contest that was notably held without standard Speed match time limits.
Non-Stop Action Opens The Unification Bout
Departing from typical triple-threat formulas, the opening stretch saw all three competitors engage simultaneously without throwing anyone out of the ring. Sinclair initially stepped back to allow Armstrong and Zaria to exchange strikes, but she quickly re-entered to spark a flurry of rapid pin attempts.
The physical momentum shifted outside when Armstrong dragged Sinclair from the ring apron, only to be posted into the steel steps after charging recklessly. Back inside, Zaria dominated Sinclair with heavy strikes to the turnbuckles before fighting off a submission attempt.
A chaotic tower of doom sequence unfolded in the corner shortly after, culminating in a superplex by Sinclair that was immediately neutralized by a crushing spinebuster from Armstrong.
F5 Seals Historic Victory For Zaria
The closing minutes featured rapid exchanges from all three women. Sinclair attempted to seize control with a double crossbody off the top turnbuckle and later locked Zaria in The Final Wrench submission hold. However, Zaria relied on sheer power to withstand the damage until Armstrong pulled Sinclair to the floor and wiped her out with a powerslam.
Returning to the ring, Armstrong attempted to put Zaria away, but the North American Champion cut her off mid-strike. After sending Armstrong out of the ring, Zaria nailed her signature spear followed by a devastating F5 to score the pinfall victory.
With the win, Zaria retains her NXT Women’s North American Championship while officially retiring the WWE Women’s Speed Championship to become the division’s unified titleholder.
