The AEW TBS Championship changed hands during the zero-hour pre-show of AEW All In 2026 at Wembley Stadium. CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone defeated Maya World to capture the title, claiming the biggest victory of her All Elite Wrestling tenure following a major outside interference.
Masked Interference Leads To Title Change
The closing moments of the contest saw World climbing to the top turnbuckle, aiming to deliver a decisive maneuver to preserve her reign. Before she could execute the strike, an unidentified masked individual sprinted to the ring and shoved World off the top rope, leaving the champion vulnerable on the canvas.
Capitalizing on the distraction, Persephone immediately swooped in to plant World with a devastating crucifix bomb, securing the pinfall victory and her first reign as AEW TBS Champion.
Dr. Britt Baker Unmasks During Post-Match Scene
The mystery surrounding the interference was answered seconds after the referee counted the three. Standing over the fallen champion, the masked attacker removed her hood to reveal the returning Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
The appearance marks Baker’s official return to AEW programming, directly shifting the landscape of the women’s division while instantly establishing an alliance or clear agenda involving the new champion.
The defeat concludes Maya World’s initial championship run at 35 days. World originally captured the TBS Championship from Hikaru Shida at AEW Redemption and successfully turned back two challengers before falling to Persephone on the Wembley stage.
