Former AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson made an unadvertised return to All Elite Wrestling on Sunday, August 30, appearing live during the All In Buy-In pre-show at Wembley Stadium.
The hall-of-fame caliber veteran made his way to the commentary desk prior to the TBS Championship match between Maya World and CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone. Taking in the London crowd, Danielson reflected on his previous outing at the venue, stating that winning the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland at Wembley Stadium stood as the absolute greatest moment of his legendary career.
End Of A Five-Month Absence From AEW Television
Danielson’s surprise appearance marks his first on-screen sighting for AEW since the Spring BreakThru edition of Dynamite in April 2026.
Addressing Danielson’s prolonged absence in recent months, AEW President Tony Khan previously clarified that the veteran was granted extended time off to recover from the physical toll accumulated over his decades in professional wrestling.
While it remains unclear whether Danielson’s commentary appearance signals an immediate return to in-ring competition or a limited broadcast role, his presence provided a major surprise for the Wembley Stadium audience to kick off the afternoon.
