Mercedes Mone Attacks Willow Nightingale Before 8/12 AEW Dynamite, New Match Announced

Hours before the August 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Mone went live on social media and revealed that she attacked Willow Nightingale backstage. Mone didn’t hold back, showing fans footage of the attack and unloading on Nightingale with a string of insults.

“I have a little surprise for everybody tonight that is tuning into AEW Dynamite,” Mone said. “I am The CEO for a reason. I just want to show you guys a little something that I did. Hi Willow, how are you feeling you dumb bitch?”

Mone told viewers to watch Dynamite to see her “take away that ugly ass bitch smile,” making it clear she’s tired of Nightingale’s upbeat personality.

“She wants to embarrass me, she wants to smile. I am so sick of that damn smile because there’s nothing to smile about,” Mone continued. “In two weeks at All In, I’m going to take away that damn smile once and for all.”

Mone said she has waited three years for this moment and vowed that no one will stop her.

“Three years. I have been waiting for this moment for three years and nobody’s gonna take it away from me. Nobody.”

Tony Khan Adds New Tag Match to Dynamite

Ahead of the August 12 broadcast, Tony Khan announced a new women’s tag match for the show. Persephone will team with Hikaru Shida to face TBS Champion Maya World and Thunder Rosa. The match adds another layer to a Dynamite card already stacked with tournament bouts and title implications.
