To protect the canvas and competitors from outdoor elements, the setup includes the signature heavy-duty roof canopy structure over the ring, similar to previous outdoor stadium broadcasts.
Fireworks Limitations & Local Regulations
Despite the expansive stage infrastructure, questions remain regarding the scale of the show’s pyrotechnic display. Reports indicate that local authorities and venue management have tightened restrictions on fireworks following recent events at the venue.
Wembley Stadium faced local criticism after permitting fireworks during a major concert on August 14 despite a government emergency alert warning against wildfire risks. As a result, industry reporter Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW’s pyrotechnic budget and usage would likely face strict environmental limitations.
“Don’t expect fireworks at the level of a WWE show at All In this year. The stadium is coming under criticism for the use of fireworks during Canadian pop star The Weeknd’s concert during a government emergency alert earlier warning against their use. The alert will likely cause AEW to be limited in what they would be able to do.”
