WWE SmackDown Results – July 3, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage results of WWE SmackDown on July 3, from the the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

WWE Champion Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring.

Sami says that it seems to him that a lot of folks tonight came to ride or die with the last real good guy.  Sami says the reaction and love he has gotten over the last few days has touched him and he thanks everyone.  But, the whole thing is funny because for the last six months, he has been booed out of the building every time.  It is funny because the people who booed him were dying to see him become WWE champion three years ago.  They jumped off the bandwagon and wanted to boo him.  He has the belt and Sami says he could be petty and tell everyone who turned their backs on him to kiss his ass.  Sami says he won’t.  Do you want to know why.  Sami says he is a good guy.  That is the same reason he holds the title.  He never changed.

People told him he had to be more devious and more cutthroat, but he did it his way.  He did it the right way.  Sami says he could be petty and tell those people who said he wasn’t championship material to kiss his ass.  Sami says he won’t do that because this is a celebration.

Do you know what they are celebrating?  We are celebrating him, the new WWE Champion.  We are ending the debate and he will go down as one of the all time greats.  He will be known as a Wrestlemania main eventer, a Grand Slam Champion, and a WWE Champion.  No amount of booing or hate will take that away from him.

Cody Rhodes’ music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Cody says something to Sami before getting his microphone.

Samis asks Cody what does he want to talk about.

Cody says Sami said something that he forgot.  You were the first to celebrate with him in the ring when Cody won the title.  Cody says he wanted to be the first to tell Sami, congratulations champ.

Cody offers his hand and Sami shakes it.

Cody starts to leave the ring, but Sami stops him and asks him if that is it.  Sami asks Cody to come back.  He says he doesn’t want to play this game and he tells Cody to drop the act and be Cody for a second.  There is another reason you came out.  I have something that you had and something that you want.  Something you are addicted to.  Sami tells Cody to tell him why he is really out here.

Jey Uso’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Jey and Sami do their Bloodline handshake. and Jey says he won’t run it back because this is about Sami.  Jey says he is so proud of Sami.  He says he earned it and deserved it, but you know why he is here.  Jey says he is here for Bloodline business.  This is your warning shot.  Jey says he needs to bring that gold back to the family.

Cody asks what year is this?  The family?  Sami is the one who is champion and you were World Champion.  When did his friend Jey Uso go back to running errands for Roman.  Cody says he was talking about his rematch.

Sami says he was proud for Jey when he won the title.  Sami says he never gunned for Cody’s title and stabbed him in the back.  Sami says it is his time to be champion.  Did you say as long as he had it, you never will?  He has it.  Jey, you said the title has to come back to the family?  It is with the family and it will be on his shoulders.  Sami tells them to stay away from him.

Sami leaves the ring.

Adam Pearce comes out and he mentions what happened to Nick Aldis so he is in charge of Smackdown tonight.  Adam says his first order of business is to find Sami a challenger.

Sami says, doesn’t he have some say as to who he faces at SummerSlam.

Pearce says no one said anything about SummerSlam.  If Aldis was here to do his job, he might give that to you.  Adam says they are doing it his way.  You will defend the title on Raw and there will be a number one contender when Jey Uos faces Cody Rhodes tonight.

Cahty Kelley is in the back with Charlotte Flair and Cathy asks why did she interfere in Jade’s match on Saturday.

Charlotte says Jade got what she deserved.  Jade ruined her opportunity so she ruined Jade’s.  She will continue to ruin Jade’s chances.

Alexa Bliss shows up and says she didn’t know Charlotte would be a Night of Champions.

Flair says Jade hurt her and Alexa.  She says she saw Alexa team with Tiffany.

Tiffany shows up and she says she never needed Flair’s help.

Chelsea Green shows up and she says Jade should be worried about them.

Flair tells Tiffany you’re welcome and she says she will see them out there.

Chelsea awkwardly says they will see Charlotte out there too.

Match Number One:  Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, and Chelsea Green versus Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab

Jade and Tiffany start things off and they lock up and Jade sends Tiffany to the mat.  Tiffany with a drop kick and Michin tags in and Tiffany with a drop toe hold that sends her into the ropes.  Tiffany with a running hip and a cartwheel into an Alabama Slam attempt but Michin counters with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Michin sends Tiffany to the mat and she sends Tiffany into the corner and tags in Fab.  They hit a double suplex and Fab gets a near fall.  Fab goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Tiffany lands on her feet and Flair tags in and hits a cross body.  Flair with a boot to knock Jade off the apron and she knocks Michin off the apron with a forearm.  Flair with a forearm and a fallaway slam.

Flair with chops to Fab.  Flair with a Flair flip on an Irish whip and Fab runs into a boot.  Flair with a cannonball off the apron to Michin.  Jade with a clothesline to Flair on the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Michin with a back heel kick and Fab with a boot.  Jade tags in and hits a running uppercut.  Jade with a fallaway slam to Flair.  Jade misses a splash into the corner and Fab tags in.  Fab stops Flair from making the tag but Flair with forearms to Fab but she cannot get to the corner.  Fab with a knee and Fab knocks Tiffany off the apron.  Fab and Flair wiht clotheslines at the same time and Michin and Green tag in.  Green with a clothesline to Michin and she knocks Jade off the apron.  Green with Japanese arm drags and then Green with a sliding flatliner and a Rough Ryder.  Tiffany with a dro kick to Michin but Jade takes care of Tiffany.  Jade with a bicycle kick to Flair. Green sends Jade to the floor.

Michin with a rollup for a near fall.  Green goes to the ropes and hits a rana off the ropes.  Jade tags in and misses a bicycle kick.  Jade blocks UnprettiHer and Green escapes Jaded for a victory roll and a near fall.  Green with Jaded for the three count.

Winners:  Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab

We see what happened between Nick Aldis and Gunther at Night of Champions.

Pearce walks in the back and he is talking to Nick and he hangs up on him.

Sami wants to know what is going on.  He says he is the champion and he is on Smackdown.  He does not need to be on Raw.  

Pearce says it is a way to prove how good a champion you are and they can bring some Smackdown stars to make it a super show.

Sami sees Johnny and Candice and Sami tells Johnny he did it.  He says he wouldn’t have done it without Johnny.  He says Johnny was there to listen to him.  You have to be true to yourself.  Sami tells Candice he is glad she is here.  He asks Candice to take a photo of them.

Match Number Two:  Rey Fenix versus El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship

Rey offers his hand and Vikingo with a rollup for a near fall.  Rey blocks a kick and Vikingo with a twisting head scissors take down.  Rey with a waist lock and forearm tot he back.  Vikingo with an elbow to the back and kick.  Vikingo with a back heel kick and a Pele kick.  Vikingo runs into a boot in the corner.  Rey with a springboard cross body for a near fall.  Rey swings in teh ropes but misses the round kick.  Rey with a handspring cutter for a near fall.  Vikingo goes to the floor.  Rey goes for a baseball slide but Vikingo pulls out the ring skirt and punches Rey.  Vikingo with a drop kick through the ropes to Rey.  Vikingo with an Arabian Press onto Rey.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Vikingo with a chop and Irish whip but he misses a splash.  Rey with a kick and a running kick on the top rope.  Rey goes up op and hits a frog splash for a near fall.  Rey misses a running double knee strike in the corner.  Vikingo with a kick and a running double knee strike of his own.  Vikingo goes up top and hits an inward senton rana for a near fall.  Vikingo with a running spin kick.  Vikingo goes up top and Rey with a running shotei.  They both go to the turnbuckles and Vikingo with punches and forearms.  Vikingo with a supe poisonrana for a near fall.  Vikingo goes to the ring post and he misses a double jump springboard 450.  Rey with a running double knee strike and he puts Vikingo on the turnbuckles.

Rey with a chop and a Mexican Muscle Buster for the three count.

Winner:  Rey Fenix (retains championship)

We take a look back at what happened to Giulia after her victory over Kiana James when Blake Monroe made her main roster debut.

Cathy is with Giulia.

Cathy asks about what Blake did to her.

Giulia says she doesn’t back down from any fight.  She put KIana behind her.  If Blake stops being a coward, she will fight her any time and anywhere.

KIana shows up and does a mocking slow clap.  It is fitting you bite the hand that feeds you.

Blake attacks Giulia and she says it is so good to see you again.

Kiana reminds Giulia who is in control after saying she enjoyed what she saw.

Blake attacks Kiana.

We go to commercial.

We take a look back at Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns from Raw.

Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso are in the back talking about Roman’s plan.

Royce Keys shows up and he says Roman tells Jacob what to do.

Jimmy says Roman sent them to find Solo and asks Royce if he knows where he is.

Royce says loyalty is better than family.  He says he has been loyal to Fatu for thirteen years.  He says he is Jacob’s family.

Jimmy tells Royce no more and he asks Jacob if that is true.

They walk away.

Trick Williams makes his way to the ring with Lil Yachty.

Before they can say anything, Carmelo Hayes makes his way to the ring.

Hayes says it is time to get serious and get down to business.  Saturday, Ricky couldn’t get the job done.  There is no other choice but to run it back for the US title if you bout it bout it.  Hayes says he expected no answer.  He wants to give Trick his flowers.  Everything you do is larger than life.  The crowd loves you and you are unstoppable, but that is because I haven’t decided to stop you yet.  Hayes says he made that championship a championship.  You made that title into an accessory.  If you want to run around with a title, he will get them a discount code for WWE Shop.  That championship is the workhorse championship.  That is the match of the night championship.  That is for the people who are hungry.  You walk around here like you have eaten too much.

Hayes says he wants Trick to prove him wrong.  Put the title up against someone who knows you better than anyone else.  You might be able to walk the walk and talk the talk when you are in the ring with anyone else.  Hayes says you have two left feet when you arei in the ring with HIM.

Yachty says he is not a call up from NXT, he is the US Champion.  He has nothing short of pure greatness.  Yachty asks the crowd if they should give the little man a match.  Yachty tells Hayes he has a match next week.  It is not for the championship.  You blew your chance and they aren’t handing out title matches to everyone.  The champ needs to get his reps in.  When things get Tricky, you will have no more excuses why you can’t get the job done.

Trick says it’s funny.  With all of their history, he knows Hayes like the back of his hand.  Trick with a back hand to Hayes.

Hayes with a flip dive onto Trick and Yachty gets on teh apron.  Trick pulls Yachty off the apron.

Danhausen is in LAB and Matt Cardona shows up.  He mentions he saw what happened on Raw.

Danhausen says he will be facing the big headed guy with Dom at Saturday Night’s Main Event.  He says he has backup for the match.

Danhausen wants Matt to help him with his experiment.

Something goes wrong with Miz and Kit.

Match Number Three:  Lainey Reid versus Brie Bella

Reid misses a clothesline and Brie with a Thesz Press.  Reid with an elbow and punch.  Reid with an Irish whip but Brie with a clothesline out of the corner.  Brie with a tornado divorce court for a near fall.  Reid sends Brie into the ropes and then hits a belly-to-back suplex.  Reid misses an elbow drop when Brie moves and Brie kicks the arm.  Brie with a hammer lock and she sends Reid into the turnbuckles shoulder first.  She does it again.  Reid reverses and sends Bri into the turnbuckles and Reid with a kick.  Reid puts Brie on the turnbuckles and she punches Brie.  Brie with forearms to blocks a superplex and she knocks Reid to the mat.

Brie with a missile drop kick.  Brie with round kicks and Rallon distracts Brie.  Reid goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Brie lands on her feet and hits a lung blower.  Brie with a LeBell Lock and Fallon tries to help Reid but Paige pulls Fallon away.  Paige sends Jacy into the ring post.  Fallon punches Paige.  Brie goes to the floor to help Piage and she punches Fallon.  Brie returns to the ring and Reid with a running knee for the three count.

Winner:  Lainey Reid

R Truth and Nathan Frazer are in LOCKER ROOM for a hot dog eating contest and Truth wins.

The War Raiders show up and asks if they thought about their offer.

Truth says both titles are on the line in a hot dog eating contest.

Damian says Aldis isn’t here so they don’t know when they will have the match but it will be on Smackdown.

We go to commercial.

We are back with what happened between Brock and Oba on Raw.

Cody walks in the back and Finn stops to shake his hand.

Cody apologizes for not properly welcoming Finn to Smackdown.

Finn says he wanted to come to Smackdown to face Cody for the title.  He tells Cody to win the title back.

Tama shows up and he tells Finn that he thought about what Finn said.  Tam says he talked to the elders about what to do next.

Talla attacks Finn from behind.  Tama says he is closing the books on everything from his past and Finn is next.

Match Number Four:  Jey Uso versus Cody Rhodes in a Number One Contender Match

They lock up and go to a stalemate.  Jey misses a super kick and Cody goes for CrossRhodes but Jey escapes with a snap mare.  Cody with a knee to the midsection.  Cody with punches to the back of the head.  Cody with a wrist lock and Irish whip.  Cody is sent to the apron and Cody falls to the floor.  Jey with a suicide dive.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cody with jabs and Jey with a punch to stop a Bionic elbow.  Jey with punches and Cody with a kick to stop the spit punch.  Cody with a kick and drop down punch.  Cody with a Cody Cutter for a near fall.  Cody goes for CrossRhodes but Jey with a snap mare and suicide dive.  Cody goes to the floor and Jey goes to the floor.  Jey goes for a spear but Cody with a knee.  Cody sends Jey over the announce table and then Jey trips Cody on the announce table.  Jey with punches.  Jey goes for a suicide dive but Cody with a forearm.  Cody sends Jey over the ringside barrier into the time keeper’s area.  Cody with a splash off the ringside barrier onto Jey.  Cody brings Jey back into the ring.

Cody and Jey with clotheslines at the same time.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jey pushes Cody off the turnbuckles to stop a superplex.  Jey with a frog splash and he gets a near fall.  Jey goes for a spear but Cody with a kick.  Cody with a double jump Cody Cutter for a near fall.  Cody looks around and sets for Beautiful Disaster but Jey with a super kick.  Jey with a spear for a near fall.  Jey goes back to the turnbuckles.and he leaps over Cody when Cody moves.  Cody with a spear and CrossRhodes for a near fall.  Cody goes to the turnbuckles and sets for a frog splash but Jey gets his knees up.  Jey with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Jey punches Cody and Cody punches back. Jey avoids a clothesline and Jey with a sleeper.  Cody with a belly-to-back suplex but Jey lands on his feet.  Jey with an O’Connor Roll but Cody backs Jey into the corner while Jey goes for another sleeper.  Cody with CrossRhodes and he gets the three count. 

Winner:  Cody Rhodes
