The report stated that Punk’s initial pitch was clear: he wanted to be the Terry Funk to Cody’s Dusty Rhodes. That idea has since been dropped. According to Self Made Pro, Punk’s current popularity makes a heel turn extremely unlikely, even with the tension between him and Rhodes rising week after week.
