Willie Mack has addressed growing speculation surrounding his status with AEW after a series of social media posts led many fans to believe he had quietly exited the company. The confusion began when Mack shared several messages expressing frustration over his lack of in‑ring opportunities, prompting widespread assumptions that he was no longer under contract.
In one of the posts, Mack wrote, “When ya boy is about to become a homeless superhero because the booker doesn’t think he’s worth the money,” adding the hashtag #WhereTheBestWrestle. He followed with another message that shed light on his ongoing struggle for consistent work: “It’s like for two years straight I’d call every week and ask if you got anything for me? You signed right? You still getting paid right? I want to wrestle.”
The comments quickly circulated across wrestling media, with many interpreting them as confirmation that Mack had parted ways with AEW. However, Mack directly refuted those reports, responding with a simple correction: “Wrong, still there.” He also clarified that he is not working on a per‑appearance basis, confirming that he remains under contract with the company.
Mack’s posts paint a clear picture of his current situation — he is still signed, but frustrated by limited usage. Since joining AEW, Mack has appeared sporadically, with most of his matches taking place under the ROH banner rather than on AEW television. His most recent match came in December 2025, when he teamed with Aaron Solo in a losing effort against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia.
Despite the lack of AEW activity, Mack has stayed busy on the independent scene. He continues to take bookings and remains a regular presence for Juggalo Championship Wrestling. Over the course of his career, Mack has held championships in Lucha Underground, TNA, NWA, and JCW, and was a standout performer in PWG.
His situation stands in contrast to Lady Frost, whose AEW contract officially expired on April 1, making her a confirmed free agent with reported interest from multiple promotions.
For now, Mack remains part of AEW, but his public comments highlight ongoing concerns about his role and visibility. Whether those frustrations lead to a renewed push or further tension remains to be seen.
