A new chapter for Ring of Honor officially commenced this past Sunday as the promotion held its first standalone television tapings at WJCT Studios in Jacksonville, Florida. This event signaled a major strategic shift for the brand, as ROH transitions away from recording matches before or after AEW events. During the session, it was confirmed that Jacksonville will now serve as the permanent home of Ring of Honor, with the next set of tapings already scheduled for March 22 at the same venue.
The marathon taping featured several high-stakes matches and championship defenses. In a Proving Ground bout, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena fought to a time-limit draw against Maya World, while Lee Moriarty successfully defended his ROH Pure Championship in a technical battle against Josh Woods. The night also saw “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada retain his AEW International Championship in a fast-paced contest against AR Fox.
