Bandido Misses Indie Booking Due To Hand Injury – ROH World Champion Bandido was unable to appear at a scheduled independent event on Saturday after suffering a hand injury, forcing a change to the advertised card.
Bandido had been set to face Flamita at a RIOT Lucha event in Monterrey, Mexico. The match was ultimately canceled when the promotion confirmed he sustained a minor injury to his hand. RIOT Lucha shared the update with fans through its social media channels, noting that the bout would not take place as planned.
Details surrounding the injury remain limited. It is not known when or how Bandido hurt his hand. His most recent in-ring appearance came on February 1, when he competed in a trios match.
Despite the setback, Bandido is still currently scheduled for upcoming Ring of Honor tapings. He is advertised for the February 12 ROH show in a multi-man tag team match. The bout will see Bandido team with Mascara Dorada, Komander, and Xelhua against Blake Christian, Lee Johnson, Tony Nese, and Ariya Daivari. The match is set to be taped Wednesday as AEW travels to Ontario, California, for Dynamite.
Bandido’s recent run has been notable given his injury history. After previously dealing with multiple wrist issues and a concussion that sidelined him for close to two years, the 30-year-old has remained active since returning to action. Since February 2025, he has wrestled nearly 100 matches across various promotions while also holding the ROH World Championship.
