Green had originally been scheduled to team with Ethan Page to defend the titles against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana. However, she appeared on the show via FaceTime and revealed she would not be able to compete. During the segment, Green showed her foot in a walking boot while informing Page and viewers that she had been injured.
No additional details have been confirmed regarding the severity of the injury or a timeline for her return to the ring. Green last competed on Friday’s SmackDown in a triple-threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. Corey Graves noted on commentary that the injury occurred during that match.
With Green unable to compete, La Hiedra stepped in as Page’s replacement partner for the championship bout. The substitute pairing was unsuccessful, as Lola Vice pinned Hiedra to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles alongside Mr. Iguana.
Shortly after the match and title change, Green posted an image of her injured foot on social media and criticized AAA for allowing Page to defend the championships without her.
