The IInspiration Debut in AEW

The IInspiration Debut in AEW – Former WWE and TNA tag team champions The IInspiration made their debut for AEW at Sunday’s House Rules event in Brisbane, Australia. The appearance followed the signing of a multi-year contract with the promotion.

After leaving TNA last month, speculation quickly started about the future of Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay. Many expected them to appear during the Grand Slam Australia event because of their home country connection, but they did not take part on that show. Their arrival instead happened one day later.

The duo competed in a tag team match and defeated Frankie B and Aysha. After the victory, the former Knockouts tag champions confirmed their new status by declaring themselves “All Elite”. Their previous match before this appearance took place on the January 15 episode of TNA Impact.

Lee began her wrestling career in 2009 with PWA, while McKay started earlier in 2007. The two later joined forces and entered WWE’s system in 2015 through WWE NXT. During their time there, they developed as a team before moving to the main roster.

They adopted the ring names Peyton Royce and Billie Kay and were promoted to WWE’s main roster in 2018. The team remained part of the company’s programming until their departure in March 2021. Since then, they have worked together across multiple promotions, building on their tag team identity and experience.

Their AEW debut marks the next stage in their careers and places them back on a major international platform. With a history that includes championships and years of team experience, their arrival adds another established pairing to AEW’s women’s tag scene.
