Rikishi Questions WWE Creative Direction For Wyatt Sicks – Rikishi has shared candid thoughts on how WWE has handled the Wyatt Sicks faction, raising concerns about whether the group has received the creative backing needed to succeed. Following the faction’s recent loss to The MFTs, the WWE Hall of Famer openly questioned the long-term vision behind the act and the level of support given to Bo Dallas and the rest of the group.
Speaking on his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi made it clear that his comments come from a place of respect, particularly toward the Rotunda family. He acknowledged the emotional weight surrounding the continuation of Bray Wyatt’s legacy and the pressure Bo Dallas faces by stepping into a world his late brother created.
“I’m going to try to put my personal feelings away, because I have love and respect to the Rotunda family,” Rikishi said. “But I just felt from the start that after the brother, we all gathered together to really kind of hold on to that memory of Bray. And when we seen the Brother Bo come in, to be able to carry on that same character and so forth. It was so kind of personal to a lot of the wrestling fans. You can imagine the pressure for the brother, right? That knowing that him stepping into a character that his brother created. And you know you either got to be as good as your brother or better.”
Rikishi emphasized that the issue is not the in-ring ability of the performers involved. Instead, he pointed to the importance of strong creative direction, writing, and production when presenting supernatural or character-driven factions. According to him, talent alone is not enough without all the supporting elements aligning.
“Bo is a good, good wrestler,” Rikishi continued. “But the thing is, for us as talent, we can only do so much in there, like we need all the pieces of the puzzle to be able to fit. The writing team, the effects team. So at the end of the day, I feel that maybe the team has dropped the ball on him, I don’t know. Maybe it was personal, or they just gave up on Bo’s team.”
He also questioned where the Wyatt Sicks go from here, suggesting that unless WWE has plans for a major return or spotlight match, their direction remains unclear.
“I think now it’s where do you go, and not unless they’re coming back for a special match for WrestleMania,” Rikishi said. “I think they can still be a good, solid team for like Halloween and that time. Because I’m a big fan of the characters, and every single person on there can work. So I don’t feel like it’s, they’re working, that’s holding them back from anything.”
Rikishi’s comments reflect a broader conversation among fans about whether WWE has fully committed to the Wyatt Sicks concept or if the group has been left without the creative consistency needed to thrive.
