Hardy Boyz Still in Regular Talks With WWE for Future Appearances – The Hardy Boyz are planning to remain active in TNA Wrestling while continuing discussions with WWE about future appearances. Matt and Jeff Hardy want to balance their current roles with new opportunities involving their former promotion.
In a recent interview with Metro, Matt Hardy confirmed that talks with WWE are ongoing and expected to produce more collaborations.
“We’re in constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff,” Matt stated. “We will do more with them.”
He explained that staying with TNA was a deliberate move. According to Matt, the team can play a more meaningful role in that environment and help the promotion develop instead of returning to WWE as a full-time act.
“It was very important to us to stay at TNA as opposed to becoming a WWE full-time act [again],” he said. “In TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow and be better.”
The duo currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championships and recently appeared at television tapings in Nashville. During that segment, they stood alongside The Righteous against The System.
Matt also discussed their positive relationship with WWE leadership. He pointed to strong communication with figures such as Triple H and Shawn Michaels, which he believes will lead to more appearances on WWE programming.
“The relationship with WWE has been great. Anytime we’ve interacted with Shawn Michaels, he was absolutely awesome – Triple H, whoever, we’ve got along with everybody really good. I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026,” Matt said.
The team already returned to WWE television in 2025 through NXT, where they captured the NXT Tag Team Championships in October before losing them back to DarkState at Halloween Havoc. Matt has also expressed confidence that the pair will appear on the main roster again, possibly at a Premium Live Event later this year.
