Royce Keys Debuts in First WWE Singles Match Before SmackDown

Royce Keys Debuts in First WWE Singles Match Before SmackDown – Royce Keys competed in his first singles match under the WWE banner prior to the February 13 episode of WWE SmackDown. The bout took place as a dark match before the broadcast and saw Keys face Nathan Frazer.

The appearance marked Keys’ first time wrestling a one-on-one contest in a WWE ring since joining the company. His previous in-ring outing came during last month’s Royal Rumble match, which served as his official debut for the promotion.

Entering the Rumble at number 14, Keys made an immediate impact by eliminating Damian Priest. He later shared a brief exchange with Cody Rhodes, with commentary referencing their history from outside WWE. Keys remained active in the match for a period before eventually being eliminated by members of The Vision faction.

The pre-SmackDown dark match against Frazer represented his first opportunity to perform in a traditional singles setting since arriving in WWE. Dark matches are often used to help new talent adjust to the environment and gain live ring experience in front of the crowd before television tapings.

Outside of in-ring competition, Keys also made an appearance at WWE corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. He visited the offices to record an episode of What’s Your Story hosted by Stephanie McMahon, a series that highlights personal journeys and career paths of WWE talent.

With his debut now complete and his first singles match in the books, Keys continues to establish himself within WWE as the company introduces him to audiences through both matches and media appearances.
