“Why not? I am a good guy. He went on to explain that he believes Rhodes thrives while chasing a title, while his own strength comes from being champion. “I heard somebody say that Cody Rhodes is his absolute best when he is in chase mode, when he is after the title. Drew McIntyre is at his absolute best when he is holding the championship. Cody, I will make your life a living hell. I was fine with anybody winning the rumble, just not you.”
Roman Reigns ultimately won the Men’s Royal Rumble, earning the right to challenge for a world championship at WrestleMania. While reports have suggested that Reigns may choose to face CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, McIntyre publicly encouraged Reigns to select him instead. He pointed to unresolved issues between the two, specifically referencing The Bloodline’s past involvement in costing him championship opportunities.
