His current deal was originally set to expire in the summer of 2025. However, AEW added injury time to the contract, extending it into 2026. Reports have indicated that Danhausen asked the company not to exercise an option year. While he has not appeared on AEW television in recent months, he has remained active on the independent circuit. In 2024, he wrestled in around 60 matches for promotions including Game Changer Wrestling and Prestige Wrestling.
