WWE Talent Hit with Lengthy Travel Delay En Route to Saudi Arabia – Despite a difficult start to the journey, WWE has officially arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of the 2026 Royal Rumble.

According to Fightful Select, the WWE charter plane carrying talent to Riyadh was delayed for approximately seven hours due to poor weather conditions. The delay caused concern early on, but the situation stabilized, and the flight continued without further issues. WWE superstars have now safely arrived in the Kingdom, clearing the way for the highly anticipated premium live event.

With the roster on the ground, focus has shifted to the finalized card for the Royal Rumble. The event is expected to be headlined by the men’s Royal Rumble match, with the winner earning a world championship opportunity at WrestleMania 42. As usual, the match is set to feature a mix of established main event stars, rising talent, and surprise entrants yet to be revealed.

Confirmed entrants for the men’s Royal Rumble include Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, GUNTHER, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Penta, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and Oba Femi. Fourteen additional participants have not yet been announced.

The women’s Royal Rumble match will also offer a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 42. The current list of confirmed entrants includes Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Asuka, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Jordynne Grace, Giulia, Maxxine Dupri, and Becky Lynch. Thirteen spots in the women’s match remain open.

In addition to the two Rumble matches, the show features two high-profile singles bouts. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is set to defend his title against Sami Zayn in what is expected to be a hard-hitting contest with major implications for WrestleMania season.

The other singles match sees GUNTHER face AJ Styles under career-altering stakes. Styles has agreed to retire if he loses the match, putting his legendary career on the line against the World Heavyweight Champion. With GUNTHER also confirmed to enter the men’s Royal Rumble later in the night, the match adds another layer of physical and emotional stakes to the event.

Despite early travel issues, all signs now point to WWE being ready to deliver a major Royal Rumble event from Riyadh.
