Gallus Expected To Debut In MLW – Joe and Mark Coffey, known collectively as Gallus, are reportedly set to make their Major League Wrestling debuts in the near future. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the Scottish duo is expected to arrive in MLW soon, marking their first major move since being released from WWE.
The report indicates that while MLW appears to be their next destination, the Coffey brothers were not without other interest. AEW was said to be a strong possibility at one point, with several talents backstage pushing for Gallus to be brought into the promotion toward the end of last year. Despite that internal support, a deal with AEW never came together, and the focus has since shifted toward MLW as their likely landing spot.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful followed up on the report by asking about the team’s contractual status. As of now, it has not been confirmed whether Joe and Mark Coffey have officially signed contracts with MLW. However, all indications suggest that their debut is planned and that the promotion is moving forward under the assumption they will be part of the roster in the near future.
Gallus was released by WWE in May 2025, a move that caught some by surprise. According to the report, there were plans at one point for the group to be featured on the WWE main roster before their release. Instead, the team entered free agency after several years of establishing themselves as a physical, no-nonsense act within WWE’s system.
The Coffey brothers first made their name in NXT UK, where Gallus became the longest-reigning NXT UK Tag Team Champions in the brand’s history. Their success carried over when they transitioned to NXT in the United States, where they went on to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships and feud with teams such as The Creed Brothers, Pretty Deadly, and The Family.
Originally, Gallus also included Wolfgang, with Mark Coffey frequently teaming with him while Joe Coffey pursued singles opportunities. Joe notably challenged Gunther for the NXT UK Championship during his run. Known for their “Gallus Boys on Top” slogan and a gritty, brawling style, the group carved out a distinct identity that emphasized toughness over flash.
If their MLW debut goes as expected, Gallus would bring an experienced and hard-hitting presence to the promotion’s tag team division.
